| | Was a busy busy weekend of events, from the Archeology launch (thurs), Auggie show & Preview Party (fri), and Pianegonda launch (sat)!! For Fri, I was ready to go all-out in the "retro-futuristic" theme of Previews party until I found out about Auggie's Gala. So feeling like a hollywood celeb, I had to bring a change of outfit since the fashion show was formal. I was lucky enough to have a shoot earlier in the day, so didn't have to worry about make-up! Unfortunately, my trusty digicam broke :( Didn't get to document anything!! But many thanks to Aycs, Louis C., Eric & the great Eddie Boy Escudero for the stolen shots from their multiply ;P hehe |
| | It was a pleasure for ARANAZ to be included at the Metrowear Summer show. It was the first time that our bags took on the catwalk. And we were delighted to see them come to life with the help of the gorgeous models! Bikinis were by Cocotini and metallic dresses by Arlene Sipat! Of course, thanks to Jojie Lloren for dressing me in an aranaz-hued pink dress and Benjie Angeles of shu for my make-up! Can't wait to see photos from the professionals! |
After 2 years, we bade a bittersweet farewell to the very first ARANAZ bag boutique at City Golf Plaza in Julia Vargas, Ortigas. It was the beginning of our dream. It was the place that opened great doors for us in the local retail industry.
After my return from fashion school in Milan, our modest little bag store moved out of our home and into a quaint 40 sqm space with a bright pink facade and vintage-inspired all white interiors. (I actually conceptualized the boutique design during my brand image class in Marangoni. Vintage was still the "IN" thing then) It became our bag mecca! Being an out of the way shop, women from all over made a trip to us to see our handmade creations.
In fact numerous newspapers, magazines and tv shows were so intrigued that they wrote features on us. The Philippine Daily Inquirer was first to announce our store opening with a two- full page spread!!! The article written by Cheche Moral was humorously entitled "Aranaz doesn't live here anymore", refering to our home business being kicked out of our residence! This allowed us to gain popularity among the fashionistas and soon retail establishments came knocking on our doors. We soon found ourselves among the prestgious brands of Rustan's and Independent lifestyles of the Power Plant Mall
We also said goodbye to our initially "temporary" store at the Independent Lifestyles of Power Plant mall. (We were suppose to only be open for a couple of months but it extended to over a year.)
This 2007 we are moving up and hoping for greater things, we will be opening an all new boutique at Power Plant Mall in a better location in February and come October at Greenbelt 5 which will house our first ever made-to-order bag salon!!!
